Ensemblum

How to use it

Everything you need to know, step by step: pick your point of view.

  1. 1. Sign up in a minute

Enter the orchestra office email and open the link you receive. Add the orchestra name and city and accept the terms. No password.

  2. 2. Complete your profile

In Account → Profile add music director, introduction, references and website. A complete profile makes musicians say yes.

  3. 3. Import your trusted substitutes

In "My substitutes" paste a list of emails (even from Excel). They get your requests first, before anyone else.

  4. 4. Post a request

Instrument and part (2nd oboe, concertmaster, section…), rehearsal and concert schedule with places, fee, refunds, lodging, shuttle and maximum distance in km. For a whole ensemble use "New production".

  5. 5. See who is available

See who said yes, ranked by reliability and with reasons: verified engagements, experience with the programme, distance, colleagues who recommended them. Need more answers? Widen the search.

  6. 6. Confirm with one tap

The chosen musician gets the full sheet, contacts and calendar; the others are told the seat is filled. Contract and payment stay between you.

  7. 7. If someone withdraws

The seat reopens by itself: the musician's backups and everyone suitable are notified at once. You get an email with the reason.

  8. 8. Rate after the concert

Four questions, twenty seconds: preparation, punctuality, sound, ensemble. Ratings build a network of trust for everyone.

Tips

  • Less than 3 days away? The request is urgent and goes to every suitable musician at once.
  • The more details you add (times, places, refunds), the more answers you get, and faster.
  • In Account you can add your engagement calendar to your phone or create a key for an AI assistant.

Sign up your orchestra

  1. 1. Sign up in a minute

Email, link, then instruments, city and the countries you work in. No CV to write.

  2. 2. Set up your profile

Choose how far you are willing to travel, add your degree and a short introduction. You can switch to "not available" any time.

  3. 3. Build your backup network

Name up to 5 trusted colleagues (with their consent). When you can't accept, the offer goes to them: the orchestra finds someone and you look good.

  4. 4. Receive offers

They arrive by email and in your inbox only when they fit you: instrument, free dates, distance. Each offer shows estimated fee, schedule, map, how to get there and where to stay.

  5. 5. Answer yes or no

One tap. If you say no, the colleagues in your backup network are notified. Answering quickly improves your chances of being chosen.

  6. 6. Confirmed!

You get contacts and a calendar to add to your phone. On the production board you share rooms and car rides with colleagues.

  7. 7. Something came up?

From the engagement page you can withdraw and give the reason: we notify the orchestra, your backups and the other suitable musicians at once.

  8. 8. Your career builds itself

Every engagement becomes verified, and ratings become public after 3, with a right to reply. You rate orchestras too: payments and organisation.

Tips

  • Add countries and widen your distance to get more offers.
  • Keep your availability up to date: on tour? Switch to "not available".
  • In Account you can subscribe to your engagement calendar or connect an AI assistant that answers for you.

Sign up as a musician

  1. 1. Sign up

Email, link and two details: who you are and where. No password.

  2. 2. Describe the event

Type of event and of line-up (orchestra, quartet, piano bar, band…), date, times, place, guests and what is already on site. The budget is optional.

  3. 3. Receive quotes and ask questions

Suitable ensembles answer with price, deposit and what is included. You can write to each before choosing.

  4. 4. Choose with one tap

The chosen ensemble is confirmed at once; the others are told politely.

  5. 5. Organise everything on one page

Direct contacts, messages, deposit and balance, preparation, PDF summary and calendar reminder.

  6. 6. Rate after the event

Quality, punctuality, professionalism: you help others choose well.

Tips

  • List the moments of the event (ceremony, drinks, dinner): quotes will be more precise.
  • Payment and contract are between you and the ensemble: put deposit and conditions in writing.
  • The earlier you ask, the more choice you have: for weddings, a few months ahead.
